CROWN PRINCESS AND LIFELINE CHICAGO CONTINUE TO ASSIST “ZMAJ” CHILDREN’S HOME

Belgrade, 9 January 2023 – After the completion of the most recent renovations to the Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj Home for Children in Belgrade, Serbia, by Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose Patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine, another project for this institution was successfully completed thanks to the donors and benefactors of Lifeline Chicago, and through The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation in Belgrade, Serbia. HRH Crown Princess Katherine personally visited and officially opened the newly renovated premises of this Home, during her visit to deliver Christmas gifts to children in need last week.

These newest renovations to the Home consisted of the complete renovation and repairs to several restrooms, which included new plumbing, sewage systems, electrical installations, doors, floor and wall tiles, lighting, and all new bathroom accessories. This vast undertaking was made possible by an incredibly generous donation from The John and Mildred Medic Wuchenich Foundation.

This Home is part of the “Zvecanska” Center for the Protection of Infants, Children, and young people and it is helping children and youth without parental care and children and youth with developmental disabilities. Lifeline Chicago and HRH Crown Princess Katherine have provided assistance to the many departments within this institution over many years.

I am so touched and thankful to you for so generously supporting our joint vision and dedication to provide for children and making their childhood better and as carefree as possible. I am very happy to see that we are united in the idea that such projects are being realized and that we can help the children who need help.

Seeing all the works that have been done in the “Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj” home for Children bring joy to my heart. We will continue doing everything we can to provide for the young ones“, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
