HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE AND LIFELINE CHICAGO PROVIDE GIFTS TO CHILDREN ON ST. SAVA DAY
St. Sava Day is always a festive day of immense celebration, and especially so for children of Serbian decent, as he is the Patron Saint of Serbian schools and Serbian schoolchildren. At the Church of the Holy Sirmijskih Mucenika (Hram Svetih Sirmijskih Mucenika) in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia, the St. Sava Day Divine Liturgy was officiated by Parish Priests Branimir Colic and Dalibor Colic. After the Liturgical Services, the children of the parish regaled attendees with poems about St. Sava, as do Serbian children around the globe. Each child was then presented with a gift bag filled with candies, numerous school supplies, and toys Three Kolo Group – The Circle of Serbian Sisters of St. George of Joliet, Illinois, The Circle of Serbian Sisters Kneginja Zorka of Lansing, Illinois, and The Circle of Serbian Sisters of St. Archangel Michael of Lansing, Illinois.
Thank you to HRH Crown Princess Katherine and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose Patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine, for providing these lovely St. Sava Day gift bags to the children of this parish for the third year in a row. The joy in a child’s smile is priceless and especially so on blessed St. Sava Day. Thank you to the donors and benefactors of Lifeline Chicago for remembering these beautiful children on this sacred day.
