HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE FOUNDATION AND LIFELINE CHICAGO DELIVER PACKAGES TO NEEDY FAMILIES IN BANJA LUKA

Banja Luka, 4 and 5 January - The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, which is under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Katherine deliver food and hygiene packages in Banja Luka.

Needy families in Banja Luka were recipients of the most recent donation packages, which were made possible by an incredibly generous donation from the Three Kolo Group – The Circle of Serbian Sisters of St. George of Joliet, Illinois, The Circle of Serbian Sisters Kneginja Zorka of Lansing, Illinois, and The Circle of Serbian Sisters of St. Archangel Michael of Lansing, Illinois.  

PI Social Work Centre Banja Luka carried out a humanitarian campaign of procurement and distribution of humanitarian packages with food and hygiene products on January 4 and 5 2023, for a total of 60 socially vulnerable families from Banja Luka and surrounding suburbs. 

Total amount of donated funds was €4,700.00. Groceries were purchased with the aforementioned funds and a total of 60 packages worth 150 KM each were created. Each package contained: 5 kg of flour, 3 litres of milk, 5 litres of oil, 5 kg of sugar, 3 kg of salt, 2 kg of rice, 3 packages of macaroni, 1 package of yeast, 2 pieces of dried sausage, 5 cans of sardines, 5 small cans of luncheon meat, 1 margarine (500 gr), 2 packages of processed cheese, 1 cacao cream (800 gr), 2 boxes of tea, wafers (300 gr), biscuits (300 gr), toothpaste, shampoo (1 litre), 3 soaps and laundry detergent (3 kg). 

A total of 60 families received packages, which were distributed on January 4 and 5, 2023 to ensure that the groceries would reach the beneficiaries before the Christmas holidays. The beneficiaries mostly picked up their packages at the premises of the Social Work Centre, and a number of packages were taken to the family homes by the Centre’s vehicles.
