Lifeline Press Release 12/31/2024

Thousands of Christmas presents for orphans and children without parental care in Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, provided by the donations of Humanitarian Organization Lifeline Chicago, whose HRH is NJ. .. В. Princess Katarina the patron saint of more than 30 years, arrived yesterday at the Palace complex in Belgrade. Thanks to the generosity of donors and Lifeline Chicago's Board of Directors, children will again feel the warmth of Christmas this year, and the joy and love that these holiday days of hope and rest bring.

My wife is immensely grateful that the tradition of bringing joy to children at Christmas continues this year during the holiday season. Lifeline Chicago for many years has been putting a tremendous amount of effort into organizing this major project, providing thousands of gifts – from clothing and shoes to toys, hygiene products and school supplies – that have just arrived at the Royal Complex and are preparing for children’s Christmas receptions.

Thanks to the charities of Lifeline Chicago, The Princess Catherine Foundation will once again be able to host White Palace Christmas receptions, where more than thousand orphans and children without parental care, children with intellectual disabilities and socially vulnerable children will experience the joy of Christmas. This tradition, started in 2001. years by Princess Catherine and me immediately upon our return to the Fatherland, it became an indispensable part of the festive activities.

Lifeline Chicago collects donations to buy gifts for children for Christmas, while some donors and philanthropists buy the gifts they want themselves and bring them to Lifeline Chicago, and they all get given to children at the White House Christmas receptions each year. Lifeline Chicago also took care of preparing packages that will be delivered directly to facilities serving children without parents. It should be emphasized that donors, philanthropists, volunteers and members of Lifeline Chicago's Board of Directors put a tremendous commitment into every gift. What makes every gift really special is that a little package for each child is personalized according to his age, gender and size of clothes and shoes. When the children living in these institutions receive a holiday package with their name on it, they know there is someone who cares for them.

"Thanks to the support of our donors and all the wonderful people from Lifeline Chicago, who have cherished a tradition of helping all these years, my Foundation in Belgrade and I look forward to being able to once again bring joy to more than 1000 children." We are very grateful to them for allowing us to bring the spirit of Christmas to the youngest and enrich their childhoods.

Our children always need to know they are loved. We have no right to forget them, nor to seize the moment to give them the opportunity to receive that special gift of love. There is nothing more precious in the world than a smile on a child's face, who receives the most beautiful gift made of love and attention, which he knows is not forgotten. Since Christmas is a time of giving, it is an ideal moment for all of us to share and feel the joy of charity, the joy of giving to others" said NJ. .. В. Princess Catherine .

Mrs. Donna M. Sekulic, president of Lifeline Chicago, stressed: "With great joy, a feeling of calm and love, Lifeline Chicago sends its best wishes and our most sincere thanks to all our dedicated donors, philanthropists and supporters, who have once again made it possible for children in Serbia to have a magical Christmas." Bright smiles and joy of children when they receive gifts are the best proof that you remembered them. That is the true spirit of the holidays. No child should ever be forgotten, and thanks to your generosity, which we greatly appreciate, every child is recognized and loved. Lifeline Chicago believes We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, with lots of health and success! “
